Family Sessions

I take a playful approach to photographing families.  A family session with me will be more like an outdoor play date, plus a silly lady with a camera.  We'll start out by getting that photo of everyone looking at the camera and smiling (because that's what grandma wants).  Then we will just play!  Run around, make funny faces, blow bubbles, maybe have a temper tantrum, who knows?  But I can guarantee there will be laughing.  My goal is always the same- to capture the love and connection between family members in a stress free environment!

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Julia scouted some great outdoor locations, captured so many sweet moments throughout the whole session, and most importantly kept our toddler engaged and smiling. The pictures are beautiful and we’ll definitely be back for more!

I’m always amazed by how well Julia captures the personality of each individual family member and our family dynamic as a whole. Our kids can be high energy and somehow she is able to fit all that energy into a frame! When we get our proofs back, we smile AND laugh, remembering how much fun we had during our session!

The photos speak for themselves... beautiful, versatile, and real.  Julia is a joy to spend any amount of time with.  Great with kiddos!

We absolutely love the photos Julia captured; they are our favorite family photos to date! She seemed particularly in tune with our children and with how to make them at ease with the process. Our family photos appeared natural, playful, and true to ourselves. We could not be happier with our photos and could not recommend Julia highly enough!

Julia did such a fantastic job with our family photos! She was a joy to work with. She took time at the beginning of the session to talk and joke with my 2.5 year old. When she was ready to shoot, so was my daughter! No toddler shyness, just a silly happy little girl. Her personality really came through in all the photos. I told my husband that I was shocked by how photogenic we are as a family and the reason I never realized this before was that we didn’t have a great photographer like Julia.
